Still unknown . . .
So there is still no definite placement for me out in Washington. Turns out that FLOC is set for volunteers for the next year so now there is a new search taking place. It is still planned that whatever the placement is I will be using my teaching skills there so that is hopeful. One possibility is Academy of Hope. I would be getting adults ready to take the GED, go back to school or get a job earning a living wage. At this point I still am hopeful that I can find a position working with children rather than adults, but perhaps this is where I am meant to be. I am trying to be open to all possibilities since I am honestly not sure what is going to happen over the next year. There are many things I am unsure of and I am handing them all over to God. I have decided I am tired of spending energy worrying so I am just going to leave all that up to Him.

I have been keeping very busy and summer is flying by. I will be leaving for MVS orientation in San Antonio, Texas in just over a month. It seems like I only just moved home and already I need to start repacking and organizing all my stuff! (This might be a good opportunity for me to sort through all my stuff and take a load to Crowded Closet) I have learned that there is an organization For Love of Children (FLOC) which I may be working at this next year. There are two possible placements there one of which would be more administrative and in the other I would be more directly involved with the students. It looks like I would be working with high schoolers getting them ready for SAT/ACT tests and other college related stuff. It sounds like it would be a lot of fun and I really hope this all works out.
