Introductions
Thus far my life has been simple. The hardest decision I have had to make was what college to attend, and lets face it, it wasn't like I was short of great options. Now I am a college graduate with a fancy degree and teaching certificate and a whole world of possibilities. The only thing is these endless possibilities also come with a pile of responsibilities. The real world has caught up with me and now I must face it head-on. I am spending, possibly my last, summer living at home in Iowa and working as a Mother's Helper for a family in Iowa City. It is a great summer job that keeps me busy working close to full time. Every cent I make counts and I have been working hard to save my earnings because starting in the fall I am going to be quitting this job and doing volunteer work for a year. I am going to be working with MVS in Washington, D.C. I do not yet know what agency I will be working with or what exactly I'll be doing, but at least I know where I will be. My mind is no longer consumed with thoughts of the unknown future. I know that my God has a plan and a future in mind for me and while it is difficult at times I am trying to simply follow His guidance and enjoy the ride.
